INTRO TO
SPATIAL DESIGN
Introduction to Spatial Design is a module in Taylor's Foundations in Natural Built Environment with the primary purpose of teaching students the fundamentals when it comes to everything Spatial Design. Throughout these brief 14 weeks, Taylor's foundation's students will develop their skills in creating and understanding many aspects of Spatial Design such as how points, lines and volumes play part in the basics of creating a space as well as the proper way to integrate design principles into our projects. We developed our skills and knowledge through 2 individual assignments and 1 group assignment in order to fully grasp this drawing module.

Using Points, Lines, and Volumes to create a model

Finding interesting Interior spaces in order to analyse each individual point and line
Integrating digital points and lines across the chosen spaces
Using the previous analysis of the chosen spaces I created mock up models coming from each point while creating my own spaces
From these mock ups i began to develop my final model using similar material; wooden sticks and mounting board

Beginning the project me and my groupmates
Nur Nazeeha Binti Nazim , Cathy , Sara Elisya , Blossom Lee ,and Sharifah Azizah Binti Syed Tarmizi, created a groupchat and communicated mostly through discord being that zaza was currently not in the state
After many discussions of concept ideas we had all realised we had a mutual love for a certain artist, Olivia Rodrigo. From there we found a common interest in the style and delivery of her latest album at the time SOUR. We decided to base this project on the album.
From there we all created 2 mini mock up models of our chosen principles and also from the concept of a chosen song from the album SOUR

MY EXPERIENCE
Throughout this entire experience an increadibly important lesson I have learnt is the importance of time management. Intro to Spatial Design is an incredibly time consuming module to embark on and one that does is not meant to be taken lightly. I have acquired TGC Thinking & Problem Solving Skill from all difficult obstacles I've had to overcome during this module such as deciding on proper tools to make the model making process more efficient as well as finding interesting approaches to take in order to make my projects more appealing. Another TGC I have acquired is Intrapersonal skills, working in group of creatives is bound to have opposing opinions. The group project has given me the opportunity to learn how to use everyone's skills and weaknesses accordingly.
