INTRO TO DRAWING
Introduction to drawing is a module in Taylor's Foundations in Natural Built Environment with the primary purpose of teaching students the fundamentals when it comes to everything drawing. Throughout these brief 14 weeks, Taylor's foundation's students will develop their skills in drawing in many aspects such as basic line drawings, different line widths, sketching, hatching, perspective drawings, drawing measurements, converting measurements to the proper scale needed, tools such as different pens, different paper, different rulers needed for architecture. We developed our skills and knowledge through 3 main assignments and 1 practice assignment in order to fully grasp this drawing module.

Step 1

create a border template on an A4 paper to
be used for all 5 submission drawings
I Chose 2 Objects, 1 Decorative and one mechanical.
My objects are Start Wars Lego Tie Fighter and my ps4 controller
The technical drawing process consistet of me measuring out all the nooks and crannies of my ps4 controller and setting out the measurements on the paper template. Connecting the dots in while maintaining the form of the controller was a skill I then acquired
My Star Wars Lego Tie fighter consists of 1 basic free hand drawing on its elevation and a version including hatching. As well as a a drawing from a axonometric perspective

To begin I had taken a few photos in order to record the spaces I would be drawing the benefit of my lecturer's reference
This assignment consisted of me creating a number set of technical drawings based on the drawing conventions of my very own bedroom, toilet and desk
Each mesurement of my sapces were then converted from meters with a 1:50 conversion ratio in order to fit the dimensions of my paper template

The Project began with me and my groupmates deciding our site would be based in Sungai Jelutong, Johor
I also decided on all the furniture based on its respective room's function and dimension appropriation
With some brainstorming I came up with our company and and logo

CREATE.X
I then Created the template which is to be used for the rest of the technical drawings
I then created the border for the site and chose all elements for the exterior and foundation of the building
Using tools such as T ruler, pencil, artliners, french curve rulers, scale rulers and shape template rulers I drafted all the spaces within its given scale and dimension
Finalized Drawings

MY EXPERIENCE
Throughout this entire experience an increadibly important lesson I have learnt is the importance of time management. Intro to Drawing is an incredibly time consuming module to embark on and one that does is not meant to be taken lightly. I have acquired TGC Thinking & Problem Solving Skill from all difficult obstacles I've had to overcome during this module such as deciding on proper tools to make the model making process more efficient as well as learning how to improve on my control of the pencil and pen in order to achieve the best affect I can output on paper. Another TGC I have acquired is Intrapersonal skills, working in group of creatives is bound to have opposing opinions. The group project has given me the opportunity to learn how to use everyone's skills and weaknesses accordingly.
